The Golden City by the River

My journey thru the Golden City of Hoi An, all starts and ends with this unique old man. This was one of the first photos I took in my adventures exploring this vibrant and historical city. Hội An (會安) translates as "peaceful meeting place" in Chinese. Formerly named, Fai-Fo or Faifoo, Old Town Hội An, is recognized as an exceptionally well-preserved Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century, its buildings and street plan reflecting a blend of indigenous and foreign influences. Smack in the middle of Vietnam, its located 30kms south of Danang. Arguably one of the most beautiful mountain drives ever.
