Cars have always felt like the pinnacle of human expression—thousands of bolts, materials, and chemicals coming together to propel us through the vast expanses of the world. On a recent trip to the Petersen Automotive Museum, I was captivated by the evolution of form and function: the meticulous attention to detail, the creators’ urge to embed their own creative values into the art of movement. Some cars move fast; some move effortlessly. Some are built to cruise, while others slice the air and battle for every millisecond. Like people, cars have personalities. Their curves and lines tell the stories of the hundreds of minds that collaborated to bring each vision to life, sending us through space and time—in style.
